Are Jay-Z and jeweller Stephen Webster in collaboration

Stephen Webster let slip at the International Jewellery London (IJL) event that he is set to travel to New York to discuss a possible collaboration with rapper Jay-Z

A famous jeweller is set to sit down in talks with the US rapper Jay-Z about a possible collaboration, meaning that watch fans could soon be wearing the same range of products as a music icon.

Stephen Webster announced at a seminar, within the International Jewellery London (IJL) show, that he was going to be meeting up with Jay-Z in New York, with hopes of a line being developed by the two of them, Professional Jeweller has reported.

Having such a big artist as the face of a jewellery line would no doubt be a major coup for Mr Webster, especially one who has being entertaining the music world since 1996 and has worked with other well-known musical names such as Beyonce, Rihanna and Alicia Keys, to name but a few.

However, the jeweller has stressed that it is not confirmed that the collaboration has being sealed, with talks at a really early stage at the moment.

Mr Webster said: "The buzz from men's jewellery is exploding - it is electric and everybody wants to be a part of that."
